About me

As a German national having resided in the UK for quite a long time, I have turned my passion for language (English as well as German) and for the regional studies of Britain into a career. Apart from a high level of general education and the ability to acquaint myself quickly and thoroughly with many specialized fields - both essential qualities for the profession of a translator - I can also point to a profound knowledge of the UK as well as of Germany.

In July 2006, I started my training as a state-certified translator for the English language with the AKAD College in Stuttgart, Germany, and I successfully passed all the relevant tests with an overall assessment of "good". I am happy to announce that I have been authorised to use the professional title "State certified Translator English" after I successfully passed the final exam in Karlsruhe, Germany, in October 2009.

In January 2010, I started self-employment in Germany as a freelance translator and language trainer, based near the town of Traunstein in Southern Bavaria.
